This early 1950's highly collectable British made powder compact issued to commemorate the Coronation of HM Queen Elizabeth II depicts one of the Queen's most famous official Coronation portraits at the age of 27.

This is beautifully crafted with spiral engineered decoration to the outer base - they are often plain metal. This piece is in amazing condition for its age with minor wear to the gold-tone case. The hinge is intact and in good condition. The compact opens and closes smoothly. The interior mirror is clean and clear with no damage.

It is complete with the original brown felt slipcover which is a rare find. It has offered great protection over the years but now shows signs of age. The powder sifter and mesh are missing. There is a little powder residue.
